When it comes to taco culture in Tijuana, Tacos El Franc stands out as a must-visit spot. Located at Blvrd Gral Rodolfo Sanchez Taboada 9257, this taco haven has earned rave reviews from locals and visitors alike. Customers consistently highlight the hand-made tortillas, which are described as “thick, soft, and perfect for tacos.” Ricardo Mendoza particularly praises the mulitas, noting the delightful addition of cheese as a highlight.
The flavor profiles of tacos here, especially the adobada and suadero, leave an impression. Dra. Nohels AS recalls loyal visits since the restaurant’s early days, appreciating the consistent, attentive service and the quality of the ingredients. Many agree that the portions are generous, with Lizzy Acosta marveling at the hearty serving of meat and avocado that makes each taco a challenge to tackle.
Not to mention, the horchata has received accolades for being perfectly balanced and refreshingly natural, marking it as a beverage that complements the bold flavors of the tacos. In an area brimming with taco options, Tacos El Franc certainly carves out its own identity—where tradition meets an unforgettable culinary experience. If you find yourself in Tijuana, this is one taco joint you cannot miss.

Wow best tacos in Tj for sure, the mulitas are especially good since they come with cheese and the hand-made tortillas are out-of-this world , thick soft and just perfect for the tacos. You have to check this place out for sure!

Been going to this place since they were only located in Playas de Tijuana, but this location is closer to home. waiters are attentive, most of the taqueros are the same since 30 years ago. The best one for me is the adobada and suadero. Tortillas are made there, salsas are very tastful. One of the best tacos in Tijuana

People say this tacos are overrated, I’m from Tijuana, I had hundred of tacos in my life. I can tell you these are not overrated, there’s plenty of amazing tacos all over Tijuana, and these are one of them. Closer to the border, easy to get to, they add so much meat and avocado it’s actually hard to eat it haha.

This place really has the best authentic tacos with hand-made tortillas and comes with everything, including guacamole! It is unbeatable for the price, and the taste is out of this world. Michelin Awarded A must! The Horchata was the best I ever tried, natural and not overly sweet it was just beautifully made.

Updated May 2025 Had to come back as we were in town, but had time to sit and eat. Much better eating them fresh for sure. Delicious asada, adobada and tripas which were the three meats we tried this trip. Service is always so fast and friendly, especially with the owners walking around with the Michelin jackets :). They have a parking lot close by, which was news to us but their staff was quick to point us to it as we were slowly driving by looking to park. Will always make room for a couple of El Frac tacos when in town. ——- Classic and OG TJ style taco. They even have a drive through option now. Kind crude as they don’t have a menu and it’s just parking up front with people coming up to take your order, but we will take it. We have missed this place, since they used to only open in the evening but they open around 1pm now every day per the employee that served us. Asada tacos were great and service spectacular. Packed well, extra salsa and guacamole for us, just because. Always been a fan and now more so since we can stop by for lunch and not just late night and have the drive up option now as well.

I kinda love these reviews since I tend to review tasting menus and fancier things. However, I have to give places like this 5 stars as well. Tried a few items super fast service. Everything was delicious. Should out to the vampirio and quesadilla. This is taco heaven

I was heading to Tacos EL Gordo across the street but my companion insisted that we go to Tacos EL FranC. This place is hoppin’! There’s a line of cars waiting for their drive up orders, a line people waiting to get a table, but we quickly found a spot at the counter. The tacos are great and the Mulas are fantastic!! Tasty, packed full and juicy, everything was delicious !!
